SomaScope Privacy Policy

Core promise

SomaScope works around a simple principle: your body data belongs to you. Photo analysis runs locally on the device, and MankaSoft does not sell, share, or monetize your personal data.

2. What Data We Process & Why

We process only the data needed for the features you choose to use. Below is the data-category breakdown:

2.1 Profile Data

Gender, age, height, weight, training frequency, and fitness goal may be used to personalize body-analysis calculations and training recommendations. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable sync, backed up to your private Firebase Firestore document.

2.2 Analysis Data (Photos & Metrics)

Photos you take or upload within the App are processed locally on your device by an on-device AI model. We do not upload image files to a server for analysis. Resulting metrics, such as estimated body-proportion scores, may be stored locally and optionally synced to Firebase as numerical values, not images.

2.3 Workout & Training Data

Workout plans, session history, and exercise logs you create are stored locally. If sync is enabled, they may be backed up to Firebase Firestore under your private user document.

2.4 Authentication Data

If you use Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we do not store your password. We may store the unique user identifier (UID) provided by the authentication provider to associate data with your account.

2.5 Technical & Diagnostic Data

We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable crash reports and performance diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability. This data does not include any personal or health information.

3. Cookies & Tracking

SomaScope is a mobile application. SomaScope does not use cookies, cross-site trackers, or advertising identifiers. It does not serve ads and does not share any data with third-party advertising networks.

4. Data Storage & Security

Data synced with Firebase is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS. Firebase Firestore is configured with access rules restricting reads and writes to the user's own account data.

On-device data is stored in the app's sandboxed private storage, according to iOS and Android security mechanisms.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active or as long as legal obligations require. If you delete your account via the app or the data deletion page, associated data stored by MankaSoft-controlled services will be deleted within 30 days, unless law requires a longer retention period.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you are entitled to the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — you may request a full copy of the data held about you.
Right to rectification — you may correct inaccurate or incomplete data directly within the app settings.
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — you may delete your account and all associated data at any time via the app or our data deletion page.
Right to data portability — you may request your data in a machine-readable format.
Right to object — you may object to any processing of your data not strictly required for the service.
Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State of your habitual residence.

7. Children's Privacy & Age Classification

For independent account registration and cloud synchronization, SomaScope is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU) without parental consent. The final age rating may depend on app version, distribution country, and app-store rules.

MankaSoft does not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate legal guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided personal data without required consent, please contact me and this information will be deleted promptly from the systems.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you via an in-app message or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
